İzmir Katip Çelebi University, Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering (PNGE) is seeking outstanding individuals to fill full-time faculty positions starting ASAP. The positions are for all ranks Assistant, Associate, and Full Professorships for both Turkish citizens and International applicants.
The applicants must hold a PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering and should demonstrate expertise in reservoir engineering preferably in reservoir simulation or reservoir characterization, or petroleum production engineering.
Those candidates with experience in using commercial simulation softwares and capable of establishing a simulation laboratory for the department and willing to teach reservoir simulation courses are strongly encouraged to apply.

1. While the positions are permanent for the Turkish Citizens, the expat faculty are recruited on a contractual basis.
2. As the curriculum of PNGE is in English, those applicants who do not hold a PhD degree from a Native Speaking Country, must submit a TOEFL Score of 80/100 or an equivalent score from a YOK hold exam such as YDS or KPDS.
3. Also applicants holding a Turkish Passport/citizenship who have obtained their diplomas abroad must submit an authentication certificate concurred by Interuniversities Council (UAK) for each diploma/degree obtained abroad as early as high school diploma. As this process may take several months for each diploma, those applicants requiring authentication are urged to initiate the authentication process ASAP.
4. The first round of applicant evaluations will be made out on May 2nd 2019, and selected applicants will be invited to give "a trial lecture" on reservoir simulation or production engineering.
